Duration: 30 weeks
Students: 8–12 years old.
Teacher: Ms. Yali Gan

Mental abacus (or abacus-based mental calculation) is a calculation method that uses the principles of the abacus. After mastering the abacus techniques, learners train to form a "virtual abacus" image in their minds, allowing them to complete complex calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and square roots entirely in their brains. The course is characterized by combining the traditional abacus teaching tool with a modern mental abacus assistant system. The abacus integrates "physical operation → image formation → mental calculation transfer," while the assistant system offers multi-dimensional training, together forming the students' unique "mathematics and calculation power" intelligence chain. The function of mental abacus is to gradually cultivate mental calculation ability, which can improve children's attention, memory, observation, imagination, and thinking skills, thereby achieving the goal of developing both the left and right brain's intelligence. It is also a global curriculum with various international competitions.
